Robert Kosasih, MD, Clinical Pharmacologist, CHt

 

Dr. Robert Kosasih is a clinical pharmacologist with more than 13 years of professional experience working with NGOs, the Ministry of Health (MOH), and private clinics and hospitals. He holds a master certificate as trainer for CST HIV/AIDS and Sexual Transmitted Infection (STI) from the WHO, and he is a Trainer for Trainers for the Methadone Maintenance Program and Addiction Management from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (MOH). Moreover, he has been trained in Prevention from Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) and TB-HIV collaboration. Apart from being a clinician, he has been a lecturer of pharmacology at the Tarumanegara University.

For the last eight years, Dr. Robert has worked as National Technical Officer for the HIV Cooperation Program for Indonesia (HCPI), which is an Australian Aid program managed by GRM Futures Group (now The Palladium Group). He has managed annual work plans and budgets, developed technical guidelines, and been in charge of monitoring and evaluation. Apart from supervising staffs, he has also coordinated activities with and mentored several counterparts, consisting of medical doctors and other health professions from government facilities and local NGOs. He has contributed considerably to the Harm Reduction Program, especially the Needle Syringe Program (NSP) and Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) Clinics in Central Java and Jogjakarta. Most recently, he has helped scaling up ART access for the Ministry of Health’s Strategic Use of Antiretroviral (SUFA) initiative and worked for the PMTCT program for key affected populations at more than 40 primary health centers across Indonesia.

For the last three years, Dr. Robert has been an associate of Angsamerah Institution for its public health program.
