Last year i have taken the hiv test in ptf malaysia, 1 month after the exposure of risking act with 4th generation combo test, and my result was negative, and since that i haven't do the test again 3 month after exposure. Do i have to do the test again, just to make sure that the result was correct?
Window period for 4th generation HIV test is within 4 weeks from exposure. 95% of infection could be detected on the 4th week and the confirmatory test on week 12 will detect infection in >99% of people. You could take the test to reassure yourself, while there is only small possibilities for the result to change.
