Klara Rebeka began her career as a midwife at one of the small-town health centers in East Nusa Tenggara. Driven by a strong commitment improving public knowledge about sexual and reproductive health to make sexual health topics less stigmatized and more accessible led her to seek greater opportunities in Jakarta, where she joined the Angsamerah Clinic in 2019 as a midwife.
Since 2022, Klara has taken additional responsibilities as the coordinator of the Tuberculosis (TB) progam at Angsamerah Clinics. She works closely with the South Jakarta Health Office, playing a pivotal role in supporting the implementation of the public private partnership between the government public health program and Angsamerah clinic’s services in tackling tuberculosis.
Alongside her clinical responsibilities, Klara is a key member of the Business Development & Partnership team, where she manages relationships with Angsamerah’s business partners.
Her exceptional public speaking skills made her one of the speakers at the AIDS Day Care event at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University Surabaya on 17 December 2022, where she addresses the importance of eliminating stigma towards people living with HIV. Klara also regularly engages with public through educational sessions via instagram @kacapikir and @angsamerahclinic, where she promotes sexual education and advocates for healthy living, and successfully reaching wide and diverse audience.
Committed to ongoing learning and professional growth, Klara participated in the “Qualitative Research & Patient And Public Involvement (PPI) by Global Health Research Group” workshop organized by the University of Manchester, the University of Indonesia, and the National Institute for Health and Care (NIHR) in December 2022. She completed the program and received a certification for her participation.
